  • Bio:  Vadym Vashchenko is a Ukrainian crisis manager, consultant in lobbying and government relations (GR), and an experienced executive with a career spanning public administration, business leadership, and innovation. He has held positions in both government institutions and state-owned enterprises, while also developing private sector initiatives and startups. His professional journey reflects resilience, strategic vision, and an ability to deliver results in complex environments.

Vashchenko began his professional path in the early 2000s, serving as a manager at Progress-Invest LLC and later in various roles at Ukrposhta. From 2002 to 2007, he rose from chief specialist of the postal services department to head of the Sumy Post Office, where he was responsible for organizing a full spectrum of postal services across the region. In 2007–2008, he worked as deputy director of the Sumy branch of the insurance company Provita, establishing new markets for insurance products. In 2008, he entered local governance as Head of the Zarichny District Administration in the city of Sumy, managing one of the city’s key territorial units. Later, in 2013–2014, he directed the interdistrict executive office of the Social Insurance Fund, coordinating state social insurance programs. Between 2014 and 2021, Vashchenko launched and developed several startups in food production, agricultural trade, and the IT sector. These ventures reflected his adaptability and focus on modernization, combining traditional industries with new technologies.

In 2021, he became head of the Sumy branch of the state research and design institute NDIPROEKTREKONSTRUKTSIYA, where he implemented crisis management strategies that significantly improved the financial results of the enterprise, tripling performance indicators. He successfully led a team of over 400 employees across 17 branches, overseeing projects in design, construction expertise, laboratory testing, and technical supervision. From 2023 to early 2024, Vashchenko served as director of a branch of the Railway Transport Design and Survey Institute, managing multiple units nationwide. His leadership ensured the institute’s stability by securing contracts worth 220 million UAH and restructuring operational processes, including railway infrastructure design, construction assessments, and state expertise.

In addition to executive responsibilities, Vashchenko has been active in politics and public service. He served as a board member of the state enterprise “Horse Breeding of Ukraine”, and as a deputy of the Sumy Regional Council, chairing the permanent commission on agriculture, construction, entrepreneurship, and emergency services. These roles allowed him to shape policy at the regional level and support agricultural and infrastructure development. Over the years, Vashchenko has been widely recognized for his service and achievements. He received several honors for his contributions to Ukraine’s defense capacity and volunteer work, including distinctions from the Regional Council, the Military Administration, and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

With more than two decades of diverse experience in public administration, crisis management, and business innovation, Vadym Vashchenko has established himself as a multifaceted leader. His career demonstrates a unique blend of military discipline, administrative governance, entrepreneurial spirit, and civic commitment.
